Credentials:  Rev. Davis is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) in North Carolina.  She is also a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and an ordained elder in the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church.  She is a member of the American Counseling Association and Chi Sigma Iota (Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society).  Prior to working as a pastoral counselor, Rev. Davis was a Board Certified Chaplain (Association of Professional Chaplains) having worked at Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville and Gaston Memorial Hospital.

Specialities:  Rev. Davis works with adults and adolescents.  She specializes in working with clients struggling with grief and loss, depression, anxiety, marriage issues, life transitions, premarital counseling, and finding meaning in life.  She has experience in the areas of self-esteem, faith development, mood disorders, and adjustment disorders.

Education: Rev. Davis received her Master of Counseling degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  She holds a Master of Divinity degree from Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, Virginia and completed her undergraduate work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  Rev. Davis did her clinical pastoral education at UNC Hospitals and Virginia Commonwealth University.  Clinical experience includes work with Presbyterian Hospital (Charlotte and Huntersville), Gaston Memorial Hospital, and Catholic Social Services of the Charlotte Diocese.

From Charlotte, take I-85 South toward Gastonia.  Take exit 27 for NC 273 toward Belmont/Mount Holly.  Turn left on Beatty Drive/Park Street. Drive straight for two miles on Beatty Drive/Park Street/Keener Boulevard (name changes twice).  Turn left at South Central Avenue.  South Central Avenue turns into South Point Road.  First UMC Belmont is approximately 0.6 miles on the left from the turn onto Central.  Take the second driveway into the church (just past the sign), at 807 South Point Road.  Counseling office is in the education/office building on the left (closest to the road) from the staff/visitor parking lot.  The waiting area is immediately on the right as you enter; the office is at the end of the hallway.
