Credentials:  Marilyn is a North Carolina Fee-based Pastoral Counseling Associate and a member of the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church.

Specialities:  Marilyn provides counseling services for individuals, couples, and families dealing with issues of grief, depression, life transitions, substance abuse and alcohol-related issues, parenting issues, post-traumatic stress, and women’s issues.  Marilyn is also available for parish consultations.

Education:  Marilyn earned her undergraduate degree at UNC-Greensboro and has an M.Div. from Duke Divinity School. She is a graduate of the Carolina Institute for Clinical Pastoral Training (CICPT) in Charlotte, NC.  She is currently working on an M.Ed. in mental health counseling at Gardner-Webb University.

Central United Methodist Church in Shelby is also located downtown. It can be reached from US 74 by taking Business 74, which becomes Marion St. The church is located in the heart of downtown Shelby and will be on your left at the corner of DeKalb Street and Marion St. It may also be reached by turning east off of US 74 onto DeKalb Street .
