




Staff Therapist
Credentials: Dr. Goodwin has been a licensed psychotherapist for more than fifteen years. With two Masters degrees and a Ph.D in Clinical Psychology, she works as a therapist, professor, and researcher. Dr. Goodwin is licensed at the Masters and Doctoral level with additional Board Certification in Addiction. She keeps her teaching skills fresh by work with undergraduate and graduate students in psychology. She currently conducts research in the area of health psychology including an emphasis on sleep and parents of children with chronic conditions.
Specialities: Dr. Goodwin often sees people at a place in life marked by rough or uncharted territory . She believes that each person has unique abilities to reach out, refuel, and regain an even footing in life. Dr. Goodwin works with individuals, couples and families. She see adolescents and adults for treatment targeted at the whole person. This often means working with individuals affected by medical diagnosis, physical, emotional and occupational stress, as well as a wide continuum of psychological disorders. Specialty areas include mood disorders, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress. In addition, she is skilled in group work, including groups for adult transitions, parents of children affected by chronic illness (medical or psychological), divorce recovery, and eating disorders.
Education: Dr. Goodwin has a Bachelors Degree with Honors from UNC-Chapel Hill and a Masters Degree from University of Alabama. Doctoral Training includes Fielding University and an APA Internship with Yale University faculty. Professional experience includes inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, addiction treatment, and private practice.
