Credentials:  Angella has been involved in counseling in a variety of settings since 1994. Her experiences include counseling and/or working with adolescent/adult in-patient treatment, mental health agencies, hospitals, and educational systems. She has worked with clients and students with anger/emotional distress, relationship issues, depression, bi-polar, and other forms of mental illness.

Specialities:  Angella has a passion for helping others (especially young people in conjunction with family and community support) on their healing journey.  Angella's primary focus as a licensed minister and social service professional has been connected to crisis counseling/intervention related to family and individual issues. Angella has been trained in verbal and physical restraint intervention/strategies on how to handle anxious, hostile and/or violent crisis situations. Additionally, she deals with parenting issues, relationship conflicts and spiritual growth (these are not specialization areas; only areas of experience). In addition, she is particularly passionate about working with pre-teens, teenagers and young women who desire to explore and strengthen their identity, self-image and self-worth.

Education: Angella recently completed all requirements for a Doctorate degree, in Pastoral Counseling and Psychotherapy (Psy.D.), she holds a Masters in Religion (M.Div.) and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services (B.A.). Her clinical training includes internships at  Massachusetts Crisis Hotline, Roxbury District Court, Clinical Pastoral Training at UNC-Chapel Hill Hospital, The North Carolina Division of Prisons, Adjunct Staff Chaplain with  Alamance Regional Hospital; and clinical supervision at Carolina Institute for Clinical Pastoral Training.

Take I-485 to exit 43, Blair Road or Highway 51.  From the outer loop exit, turn left; from the inner loop exit, turn right onto Blair Road.  The church is down the road about 1/4 mile on the right. 

Once in the parking lot, enter the door on the left side of the sanctuary building (sanctuary building is the one closest to the street).  Counseling takes place in the parlor, which is the last room, down the hallway on the right.  If the MCCS session sign is on the door, please wait in the Sunday school room across the hallway.

From  I-85, take exit #60/Dale Earnhardt Blvd/Copperfield Blvd. Turn left on Dale Earnhardt Blvd. Continue on Copperfield Blvd NE. Continue on Lake Concord Rd NE. Turn Left on Burrage Road NE. Arrive at 1030 Burrage Road NE.

Epworth United Methodist Church has a "U" shaped drive that circles around behind the church and comes back out onto Burrage Road. If you are facing the church from Burrage road, take the driveway located on the right side. Circle all the way around the church until you are headed back toward Burrage road.  You'll see a glass door, come in and you will enter the waiting area. Please be seated and I will come looking for you at the appointed time. Alternatively, as you face Epworth with your back to Burrage, simply walk around to the left end of the building and you will see the sign and glass door.
